Last Saturday evening, a single mom and local title 1 school teacher had a fire at her home in Chesterfield. Her kitchen range took the biggest hit and she didn’t have the funds to replace it. This woman gives of herself daily and was in a pinch. Thanks to the generosity of Bridging RVA donors and volunteers, we were able to quickly respond with a Rapid Response to this need. Needless to say, it took a huge weight off this mom and her children. Here it is in her words:
“Saturday night we had a small fire and the oven took the brunt on it. And I just shut down after that. I feel like every time I turn around something happens and I’ve got to dig deep in my pockets to fix it. I am truly humbled and grateful for this blessing!” #BridgingRVA
